Winner at the Nationals

Sophie Röder

The season of 2013 is over. Last week we played the Dutch national championships, my last tournament of this year. The previous two years I had to pull out of this event, due to an injury last year and being sick the year before. As Aniek had to pull out, due to an injury, I only played singles in this event.

I started in the semifinal with a victory over Sharon Walraven, 6-0 6-1. In the final I played against Marjolein Buis. The 1st set was very close. I was making to many errors and was down 4-5. But then I was able to turn the match around. I won the 1st set 7-5. And after that I won the 2nd set with 6-0. It's great to end the year with a title, and I'm definitely looking forward to the beginning of 2014. The 10th of january I will play my 1st event of the year in Sydney. Looking forward!
