The third Grand Slam of the year takes place in London. We have to wear white tennis clothes, we eat strawberries and we play on grass courts. When you enter this Grand Slam, it's all about tradition and history. Yessss! It's time Wimbledon.

At Wimbledon we only play doubles matches. Aniek and I won Wimbledon in 2012 and 2013, so we have a title to defend.

In the semifinal we play Lucy Shuker(GB) and Sabine Ellerbrock(GER). The conditions are tough, as it's very windy on court. Grass is hard to push on, but the wind makes it even harder to get the right position to hit the ball. Aniek and I cope better with the wind. We win the semifinal 6-1 6-0.

In the final we play against Yui Kamiji and Jordanne Whiley. In the 1st set we play good tennis, and we take it 6-2. Our opponents make less mistakes in the 2nd set. All the games are close, but we lose the set 2-6. The 3rd set is very exiciting. We face 3-5, but start to play better at that moment. We level at 5-5 and have chances to go 6-5, but unfortunately can't convert these gamepoints. After saving a matchpoint, Whiley and Kamiji take the 2nd matchpoint and win this final.

So close, but we didn't succeed to win Wimbledon for a third year. After the match it's time to pick a dress and prepare for the Wimbledon Ball. Djokovic and Kvitova, as well as the other winners get honoured at this dinner. Altough we didn't win this year, it's an honour to attend this ball and share a dinner with so many tennis legends.
